In January 2020, Aawen celebrates its 20th anniversary. A lot has happened since Aawen first entered the Cornish marketing community.

Back at the start of the new millennium, when the human genome had first been deciphered, two keen and dedicated designers, having handed their notices in, where setting up a new design studio at Penstraze Business Centre, wondering if the Y2K bug would affect their new iMacs. Who knew then that Aawen would be celebrating 20 years helping Cornish, national and international clients compete and succeed.

We’ve indeed been fortunate to assist companies from many different sectors. Such as attractions like Crealy, Bodmin Jail and the National Maritime Museum; Councils from Cornwall to Essex, charities like the Air Ambulance and National Trust, and scores of companies such as, ATASS, Coastal Group and Curver.

During the 20 years we have seen many changes and faced many challenges, such as weathering the great recession of 2008-2009, moving our offices from Penstraze to our present home on Lemon Street in 2011 as Prince William & Kate Middleton got hitched, introducing a full gambit of marketing services to our clients for the first time in 2016 as BREXIT began, plus creating four very different incarnations of our website throughout the years. All of this whilst the design and print industry has gone through a complete revolution.

None of it would have been possible without the help and support of our suppliers who help make Aawen the high quality service it is, and our hundreds of clients who have put their faith in our abilities. So let me end by saying a big thank you to all our associates and customers of the last 20 years. We look forward to being of assistance for the decades to come.
